Oakly Beds UK makes upholstered beds, ottomans, divans and mattresses for homes across the UK. Every piece is built after you order it, in the size and fabric you choose, and delivered by a team that puts it together in the room it belongs in.

How we build
Production only starts once your order is confirmed, so nothing sits in a warehouse waiting for a buyer. That is also why we can offer custom sizes — an awkward alcove or a low ceiling is a specification, not a problem.
Every frame is upholstered in the fabric and colour you pick, across linoso, chenille, plush velvet, teddy, naple and coniston. The same bed can read soft and pale or deep and formal depending on what you choose.
Our beds carry a 10 year guarantee. Building to order means we know exactly what went into each one, which is what makes standing behind it for a decade reasonable.
Support, height and headboard comfort are design decisions, not afterthoughts. A bed is furniture you spend a third of your life on, and it should be judged on how you feel the next morning.

Our delivery team contacts you to arrange a day and gives you a four-hour slot, then calls again an hour before they arrive. If you have chosen installation, two of them carry your furniture to the room you want it in, assemble it, and take the packaging away with them.

What separates the ranges is mostly what happens under the mattress. Here is what each one gives you, and the options you will be choosing between.

The classic upholstered bed, built around the base you actually want.
A fully upholstered frame and headboard in your chosen fabric, sitting on the base that suits your room. Slats come as standard and cost nothing extra; if you want storage underneath without moving to an ottoman, a slatted or full metal gaslift turns the same frame into a lifting bed.

Storage across the whole footprint of the bed, not just a drawer.
A gaslift mechanism raises the entire mattress platform, so the storage space underneath is as large as the bed itself. Pick the direction it opens based on where your room has clearance, and choose whether the inside is finished with floor boards or left open.

A solid base with drawers exactly where you can reach them.
Divans give you built-in drawer storage without any lifting. The thing worth thinking about is placement: drawers on the side you keep clear are usable every day, drawers against a wall are not. Choose the arrangement around your room, or skip storage altogether.

Built for 3ft rooms, without giving up storage.
Single rooms are usually the ones short on space, so this range is built around what goes underneath. The same divan, bumper and panel-headboard designs from the rest of the range, made to a 3ft single, with drawers or an ottoman lift so the floor area under the bed is not wasted.

Five constructions, because firmness is personal.
The right mattress depends on how you sleep rather than what costs most. Pocket sprung units move independently and suit couples who disturb each other; memory foam contours to you; ortho sprung is the firmer end. Tell us how you sleep and we will point you at the right one.
